1. Introduction
InvoicesCrafts (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. Please read this policy carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us using the details at the end of this document.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Account information: If you choose to register, we collect your name and email address.
- Invoice and document data: Data you enter when creating invoices — such as business name, client details, line items, and amounts — is stored locally in your browser and, if you are signed in, may also be stored on our servers.
- App settings: Preferences such as country, currency, language, and template choices are stored to personalise your experience.
- Usage and technical data: Basic technical information such as browser type, device type, and general usage patterns may be collected to help us maintain and improve the Service.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
3. Local Storage
The application stores settings and draft invoices in your browser's local storage so you can resume work on the same device without signing in. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you sign in and the sync feature is active. You can clear this data at any time through your browser's site data settings.
4. Account Data
When you create an account, we store your name and email address to enable you to sign in and access your saved documents across devices. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your account credentials. We do not store passwords in plain text.
5. Server Draft Sync
When you sign in, unfinished drafts and saved documents may be stored on our servers so they can appear in your workspace and be resumed on another device. This data is associated with your account and is treated as confidential. We do not use the content of your invoice drafts for advertising or share it with third parties except as described in this policy.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Save and restore your invoice drafts and settings.
- Maintain your account and enable cross-device access.
- Improve and personalise templates, features, and the overall user experience.
- Monitor and analyse usage to identify and fix issues and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties except in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the website and providing the Service (e.g., hosting, authentication, analytics), subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order or government agency).
- Business transfers: If InvoicesCrafts is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- Protection of rights: We may disclose information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or situations involving potential threats to safety.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes.
Local storage data (on-device drafts and settings) persists until you clear your browser site data or use the in-app option to clear drafts.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
10. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on the Service and to hold certain information. We may also use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to help us understand how the Service is used. These services may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent; however, if you do not accept cookies, some portions of the Service may not function properly.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: The right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: The right to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: The right to request that we delete your personal data.
- Portability: The right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Objection: The right to object to certain processing of your data.
You can clear device drafts by clearing site data in your browser settings, and you can manage or delete server-saved drafts and documents from your workspace at any time.
To exercise any other rights listed above, please contact us using the details in the section below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
